The Main Reason Why We Shouldn’t Drop Out When Life Gets Tough?

I’m going to focus on Eric Thomas here. Who, in my honest opinion, is the greatest motivational speaker on the planet. If you don’t pick up any motivation after listening to some of his videos, I’ll be surprised.

Right, so it took 12 years for Eric Thomas to obtain a 4 year degree. At one point in his life, he came to the realisation that the man he supposedly thought was his father at home, wasn’t.

It was somebody else.

And one day his Theologian teacher came up to him, and told him that he HAD to stay in school.

At the time, where E.T was from [Detroit], the car industry was booming. Multiple car companies like GM and Chrysler. But his teacher made a personal comment. In order to motivate him.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION.

He said to Eric, “You’re going to be just like your father.”

Now correct me if I’m wrong, if anybody comes at you with that kind of comment, you’d be hurt, or at least protective over the fact that somebody was making those kind of accusations.

“You don’t know my dad,” he replied.

Then the teacher dropped the bombshell.

“But neither do you.”

“But what I can tell you, is that he never finished anything. He was never committed.”

“And with the path that you’re on Eric, you’re going to be to your son, what your father was to you.”

And that was a deep touch because nobody likes to be told that their family was a failure. But it was just the wake-up call that E.T needed. It’s a key thing to remember that in life-:

We don’t have to start strong. We just need to FINISH strong.

Everybody has a why for what they do. It’s a known fact that when somebody works so hard for something, they have a why. And 95% of the time, it seems like that ‘WHY?’ isn’t enough. Hence why we need somebody to tap into it. Because when somebody reminds us what ‘WHY?’ is, we feel re-energised. We feel like there’s nothing that can stop us. It’s that motivation, that driving force within us that says NO when somebody tries to stop us from going further.

So we just need to find what makes us click.

MOTIVATION IS THE MAIN TOPIC IN THIS ARTICLE.
(And really, motivation is the key in every other topic, but you already knew that)

We need to keep fighting and no matter what happens, we cannot give in.

WE CANNOT BACK DOWN.

And you may be asking yourself, why?

When nothing is going my way, and when I’ve done everything that has been required of me. When I’ve put in all the hours, all the time and the effort, and nothing is there for me to reap as my reward. Well let me tell your right now, it’ll be there. If not now, then tomorrow. If not tomorrow then next week. If not next week, then next month. But the fact is, it’ll be there. Because listen to me, it’s not about giving up when we take 100 shots, it’s about moving on when WE MAKE 100 SHOTS.  This is the time, at which when life is hitting you hardest, when life is giving you the toughest experiences in what you do, this is the point where we must keep going. Where we must keep fighting.

Because when you reach that point where you think to yourself, “That’s it. I’ve had enough. I can’t do it anymore.”

YOU CAN.

YOU MUST.

YOU WILL.

You need to stick it to life and prove to it that no matter what it throws at you, you will pick yourself up off the ground, dust yourself off, and start running again. That motivation that you have in your life, is something that you control and others around you influence.

Because when the going starts to get tough, just as you’re about to quit, just as you’re about to give in, one by one opportunities are going to begin to become visible to you. You’re going to see a lot of doors opening for you because of the hard work that YOU put in.

But if you quit, you won’t see it. You’ll never see it.

Why?

Because you never gave yourself a chance to kick the door down.

You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take.

So why not give it a try? Chances are you’ll have a shot of making it.

After you’ve found your motivation in this, and around the site, go and become somebody else’s source of motivation.

Stay Blessed.

Anass.
